Ready2Scale Spotlight: Meet Motion Informatics

The second cohort of the Ready2Scale Acceleration Program has officially begun, supporting a new wave of promising deep-tech startups from across Europe. Over a six-month period, these startups will receive tailored mentorship, strategic resources, and a €60,000 grant to help them scale. One of the startups in this new cohort is Motion Informatics, a medtech company revolutionizing neurorehabilitation through AI, biofeedback, and augmented reality.

Motion Informatics is a medical technology company developing AI-driven neurorehabilitation systems that integrate biofeedback, functional electrical stimulation (FES/NMES), and augmented reality. Its core platforms—Stimel-03 and Spatial StimelMD—personalize therapy using real-time EMG signals and neural intent, enabling faster, more effective motor recovery for patients with stroke, spinal cord injuries, and neuromuscular disorders. The company was founded by Amir Oren and Gary Sagiv (CEO), combining expertise in biomedical engineering, clinical neurophysiology, and digital health innovation.

The following questions are answered by Gary Sagiv, CEO and Co-Founder of Motion Informatics.

How did the idea for your startup originate?
The idea was born out of frustration with the limitations of generic neurorehabilitation devices. We identified a critical gap in early-stage therapy for patients with severe motor impairments—and built a platform that adapts therapy in real-time based on patient-specific EMG signals and neural intent.

What have been your biggest challenges and most significant achievements so far?
Our biggest challenge has been developing technology that doesn’t yet exist—we’re not just building products, we’re inventing the underlying systems to enable them. Balancing this level of innovation with strict regulatory compliance, especially for FDA-cleared medical devices, has been a constant pressure. Despite this, we’ve secured FDA clearance (K130424), launched multi-country clinical trials, established a U.S. commercialization partnership with ReShape Lifesciences, and developed our next-generation AR-integrated platform, Spatial StimelMD.

What drives you to continue, even during difficult times?
We’re driven by the opportunity to fundamentally change the standard of care in neurorehabilitation. Seeing our technology restore function where traditional therapy fails validates our mission. The clinical outcomes, patient engagement, and the ability to personalize recovery in real-time make the work meaningful—and the challenge worth pursuing.

What sets your startup apart from competitors?
Unlike traditional FES/NMES systems, our devices personalize stimulation based on real-time EMG biofeedback, mirror neuron activation, and AI-driven signal processing. We’re the first to integrate AR with biofeedback and electrical stimulation, creating a data-driven, immersive rehabilitation experience that adapts to each patient’s progress.

What are your expectations from the Ready2Scale Acceleration Programme, and how do you think it will benefit your startup?
We aim to refine our go-to-market strategy, strengthen EU clinical partnerships, and accelerate CE-MDR certification. Ready2Scale’s network and strategic mentoring can help us prepare for rapid scaling across European and global markets.

Where do you see your startup in one year? And in five years?
In one year, we expect to complete EU regulatory approval and begin pilot programs with major clinics across Europe. In five years, we see Motion Informatics as a global leader in AI-driven neurorehabilitation, powering both clinical and home-based therapy across the U.S., EU, and Asia-Pacific—with fully remote, autonomous rehabilitation platforms.
